Egon Evertz Group celebrates it's 50th anniversary. During the years the companies of the group, with a workforce of 500 employees, have served steel mills in their own factories and in the steel mills - through the constant improvement of techniques, procedures and parts for steel production.
Just at the age of 19, the young Egon Evertz registered his first company in Solingen, Germany, in 1956. He developed cost cutting and innovative solutions to specific problems. Today he possesses national and international patents. Egon Evertz not only showed successful talents as an entrepreneur and inventor, but also as a car racer, pilot and violinist.
Today, several medium-sized companies make up the wide-spread business of the group. They are all engaged in providing services as well as the development and construction of components and machines predominately for the iron and steel industry.
According to its tradition, Egon Evertz KG supplies direct on site services to steel producers. These services include grinding, flame scarfing, torch cutting of slabs, maintenance and repair of production machines. These services include complete operational facilities. Further they manufacture segments and continuous casting mould plates of all kinds.
Evertz Continuous Casting Service SKW is responsible for the manufacturing of continuous casting mould plates.
Evex Anlagenbau develops and manufactures plant accessories such as converters, steel teeming ladles, slag ladles, steel transport cars, slab turning plants etc.
Evertz Magnetbau designs, develops, manufactures and repairs magnets of all types. These include special systems for the transportation of slabs, billets, bars, coils as well as friction magnets and separating magnets for the entire industry, among others also waste incinerating plants.
Evertz Hydrotechnik is engaged in the design, manufacture and maintenance of valves for water and other media including the relating control systems as well as the manufacture of cleaning and fire extinguishing systems for isolators and transformers.
Klopp Maschinenbau manufactures universal drilling and milling machines. As well as the traditional uses the Evertz Group uses these machines for the milling of all types of continuous casting copper mould plates.
Today, the founder Egon Evertz, manages the destiny of the Evertz Group - still headquartered in Solingen, Germany - together with his sons Dipl.-Ing. Ralf and Dipl.-Oec. Stefan Evertz.
