New building Evertz Hydrotechnik

Inauguration of the new company building

Entering the foyer of Evertz Hydrotechnik's appealing new administration building, one immediately gets a first impression of the company's products. Water bubbles from the ceiling of the self-developed thread fountain and creates atmosphere. As an independent subsidiary of the globally operating Evertz Group Solingen, Evertz Hydrotechnik GmbH & Co. KG deals with the development, design, manufacture and maintenance of water hydraulic components and systems. The product range extends from valves in the descaling sector, to spray bars for selective cooling, to complete systems in these application areas. Here, the company serves the steel and aluminum industry worldwide, especially through major plant manufacturers such as SMS-SIEMAG. However, this special valve technology from Betzdorf can also be found on an impressively colorfully illuminated artificial waterfall on a bridge in Seoul, South Korea. In addition, Evertz offers supply and services for the complete vehicle dynamics sector, in which, in addition to ADAC, all premium brands in the automotive sector are among its customers. Founded in April 1998 in Weidenau, Evertz initially found production facilities in the foundry of the former Siegerländer Kupferwerke. In 2000 the company moved to. Herdorf into rented buildings of Schmidt Zerspanungstechnik. But at some point it became too cramped there. In February of this year, the company moved to Betzdorf, or more precisely, to the industrial park. Nevertheless, there is still a close cooperation with " 1a Zerspaner Schmidt", as Thomas Rosenbauer and Matthias Krieger, managing partners of Evertz, emphasize. As general contractor, SÄBU Morsbach GmbH bore the overall responsibility for this new building, from the planning to the proper execution of the project to the handling of the overall performance. In addition to the administration building in modular construction, an adjoining production hall was also built. The new company location forms a unit for the areas of development, sales and production. Special attention was paid to a sustainable overall concept. Sustainability was taken into account on the 10000 square meter site by means of three geothermal boreholes ä 140 meters deep, a 50-KWp PV system and the installation of a rainwater cistern (capacity approx. 100 cubic meters). The administration building is heated in winter with underfloor heating and cooled in summer with the same system. This means that there is no need for an electricity-guzzling air-conditioning system, and the requirements of the German Energy Saving Ordinance for Buildings (EnEV2009) have been undercut by 20 percent. This is good for the climate and for the wallet, because a low-interest loan from KfW was obtained. Furthermore, the measure was supported with cash funds from the ISB in Mainz. Now the new building is to be officially and properly inaugurated. For this purpose, inauguration ceremonies will be held on September 6 and 7; on Friday for invited guests and on Saturday with a morning pint and all kinds of activities for interested parties.
