In 1981, the first conventional billet and slab milling machine for the steel industry was designed at Egon Evertz KG, Solingen.

The first electromagnet was invented almost 200 years ago. Today, there are magnets that lift loads of up to 50t and more - a wide variety of ferromagnetic goods are transported, from scrap, slabs, coils ,... to loads that must be handled very carefully.
